The Elixir of Youth and Calorie Countdown

Just some ways we would say it back in the unique country of Malaysia!

Yes, I'm back after some time , apologies for the long wait for my laptop is sick and .. I just found out there is a blogger app on android. Wonders of smartphones ..

Being back in Malaysia, I have a quest . To maintain my weight and preferably lose 2kilos in time for my upcoming bikini phuket trip. But its so tricky to do that when its pouring food for 3times less the price of Melbourne.

Good thing, before I came back , a guy friend of mine recommended this application called "My Fitness Pal" . It's a handy app to keep track of your daily calories , with a diet plan to reach your target. Do check it out. I key in details of my activities and food intake. Today is Day 1!

My morning routine (if I don't sleep in) usually consist of a 45minute brisk walk routine (maybe 10minute jog within the 45) followed by a breakfast consisting of half boiled eggs (only one yolk, and 2-3 egg whites) with wholemeal bread and a cup of fruitjuice. Dad's influence.

Fruitjuice is an amazing way to start your day, especially when you drink it on a empty stomach as that's when all its nutrients are rapidly absorbed by your body , followed by a healthy detox. I'll quote "a cup of juice a day keeps the wrinkles away" because I have experienced dramatically : the elixir of youth . Firmer skin with an internal glow, with better moisture levels. Less blemishes too!

For you vain pots out there , fruitjuice is as effective as collagen and cheaper as well , so why not go the more natural budget way?

If you are concerned with time consumed each morning to get fruit juice , be prepared . Time saving methods will be to get a good juicer with a big feeding tube so you don't have to pre-cut the fruits too small to juice them. The Philips HR1854 Whole Fruit Juicer is a handy one as it extracts juice well in larger quantities so you can share. The downside is, cleaning it is Abit troublesome but when you are familiar, it can be done in 5-10minutes. All in all, juicing,drinking and cleaning takes up 15minutes of your time.

I strongly encourage you to start maintaining your youth from your early twenties ;). Cheers to the elixir of youth and I shall be keeping you updated with my calorie countdown!
